Main fan sections for lumber dry kilns in mild or 100% stainless steel.

Main fan section below is for a 75 m³ or 50mbf kiln with 5x7.5Hp fans in 100% stainless steel.
Wooddryer System main fan sections are specifically designed to be used in lumber kilns. A Wooddryer System main fan section has several features built into the design which allows for faster installation (mechanical and electrical). In addition, we can manufacture the main fan section in either mild steel (with epoxy or silver liner coating) or in 100% stainless steel. The stainless steel option is especially attractive to customers who will be drying species which tend to accelerate corrosion in kilns, such as oak.



The pictures to the left and right offer you a view of specific details. On the right picture you will notice a 75x50mm/3"x2" U-channel. This channel is designed to hold the electrical cable for the motors and other kiln equipment. On the front side of the fan venturi you will see a round rod; this is used to attach a safety line when performing maintenance on the equipment.
The bottom channel (not seen in photos) is prepared for the installation of a moveable between deck. The main fans are installed by using two wall brackets (included with main fan section). In addition, the frames can be adjusted by 100 mm/4" at each end.



Each main fan section is custom manufactured to each kiln based on the width of the kiln and how many fans will be located in the main fan section.

The Wooddryer System main fan venturi has a double bell mouth opening for maximum performance in both directions, heavy duty frame and motor mount.
