WOODDRYER SYSTEM specification sheet.

Aluminum air inlet louver operated by electrical actuator with spring return.

Wooddryer System electrical operated aluminum louver is normally used as an inlet on Wooddryer Interval System kilns and on power vented exhaust systems for Wet and Dry bulb kilns. Louvers are mounted over a 24"x24" (600x600mm) opening using the flanges on the louver. Our louver has a spring return that insures the louver will close upon power or actuator failure preventing vented and degrade by unwanted low RH% in kiln. Our low leakage louver can help you control the kiln environment on slow drying species without using steam spray. Steam spraying will generally increase drying temperature, which is not always desirable on certain species. Unnecessary steam spray is also a waste of energy.

Wooddryer System type: WSUS-24AI.

Louver Specifications:

Materials:
Louver is made in all aluminum. Frame made using 1/8" or 3mm material.
Blades:
Four 6" extruded blades in aluminum.
Seals:
Each blade has rubber seal. Jamb is sealed using a stainless steel spacer sheet.
Blade operation:
Parallel operation with concealed linkage.
Actuator rod:
Extended ½" or 12.7 mm rod used to mount actuator to blade.
Maximum static pressure difference:
10.5" or 350 mm.
Leakage with 1" or 25mm static pressure:
12 cfm or 67 m3/hr.
Opening:
Louver mounted over a 24"x24" (600x600mm) opening using the flanges on the louver.
Actuator Specifications:
Type:
Two position with spring return.
In corrosive environments springs will need regular greasing.
Electrical:
MA220: 120VAC, 50/60Hz single phase.
MA221: 230VAC, 50/60Hz single phase.
For installation in kiln environment use a non-metallic box for connection leads from actuator and control system. Box must be sealed to meet IP65 standard.
Rotation:
Counter Clock Wise.
Operating temp:
0-140F or -18-60C.
Operation:
Actuator meets the 15 sec opening and has reduced power when opened completely using internal holding circuits for reduced power consumption and temperature rises.
