History:
Wooddryer System has been assisting the lumber industry for over 20 years with innovative solutions to the problems and difficulties encountered while kiln drying lumber. After the death of his father, Vald Jorgensen inherited the family sawmill. With his background in electrical automation, Mr. Jorgensen proceeded to update the entire operation. While refitting the sawmill, Mr. Jorgensen concluded his efforts would be well spent in the construction of on-site kilns. As a manufacturer of white woods (esp. Beech), the sawmill was not only concerned with drying the lumber correctly, but also keeping the color of lumber consistent during the drying process. Though Mr. Jorgensen developed his kilns with the intention of serving his own immediate needs, his effort succeeded in attracting the interest of peers in the lumber industry. In fact, his effort was successful enough to prompt him to rearrange his priorities. Before long, what had been a family sawmill business found itself transformed into a operation which focused upon the sales of the Jorgensen kiln designs and lumber drying "know how".
Over the years, Wooddryer System has developed additional technologies to serve the lumber industry better. More recently, seven years of research and development made possible the introduction of the Wooddryer Link System. With the successful introduction of PLC based technology into the general industry, Wooddryer System soon capitalized upon the proven strength of this advancement by incorporating it into kiln controllers. The result has been the development of a controller which is fully able to not only regulate kilns, but pre-dryers and fan sheds also. In addition, the Wooddryer Link System provides the user with a controller fully expandable to accommodate future additions of new and improved kiln equipment. After over twenty years serving the lumber industry, the Jorgensen tradition continues on in the manufacture of high quality kiln drying equipment. Not content to rest upon the success of Wooddryer kiln design, special emphasis is now placed upon reducing drying cost through lowering inefficient energy use and operating expense. As the Wooddryer System commitment to providing superior kiln equipment continues, so to does our realization that our success is dependant upon the customers satisfaction.
